CANTCU is a CAN-based transmission controller for controlling BMW’s 8HP/DCT transmissions. This Controller does not require physically modifying any of the internal wiring/controllers of your transmission. This device is more of a gateway, translating the information between the ECU and TCU.

The Hardwire Electronics PDM15 takes inputs from physical switches, analogue voltages, or the CAN bus, and provides power to different electronic devices such as radiator fans, fuel pumps and head lights. The current being drawn from each connected device is continuously monitored. If the measured current is too high due to a fault, the PDM switches off the respective output to prevent further damage to the wiring loom or the connected device. The PDM can then retry the output to see if the fault has cleared. Use the canbus networks to trigger outputs in the PDM based on data streaming from the ECU or other canbus devices, then send canbus data from the PDM to your digital dash or datalogger to allow understand the current status of your car's electrical system.
